I was standing on a ridge in the Nebraska sandhills, near Kimball, painting this scene...trying to finish before the storm arrived. I was able to complete most of the piece on location before it started to pour. This painting is included in the National Academy of Plein Air Painters "Natural World Observed 2007" Exhibition at Texas Art Gallery in Dallas.
