This was painted near Fredericksburg, in the Texas Hill Country. I loved the bright reds in contrast with the greens of the trees in the background and the subtle colors of the ground. This painting has been accepted into the American Plains Artists Juried Exhibition which will be held September 3rd to November 30th, 2010, at the Great Plains Museum in Lincoln, Nebraska.
