This piece was painted "en plein air" outside of Phoenix, Arizona. When I started to paint it, the water was perfectly still with beautiful reflections. Within a few minute, the wind kicked up and the rough water turned a wonderful turquoise green. It made a very nice contrast again the reddish color of the cliffs surround the lake.
