The Vermillion Cliffs are north of the Grand Canyon and are part of the area known as the "Grand Staircase". When we came around the bend of the road and first saw them, they took our breath away. We knew we were entering a very spiritual place...we were alone on the highway, feeling the energy of these ancient lands and the people who have inhabited them over the centuries.
