This was painted on location from the pier in St. Andrews, British Columbia, on a cool misty morning. About halfway through the painting, a big fog bank rolled in and completely obliterated the view of the town and most of the pier! Just one of the challenges of plein air painting. I waited it out and was able to finish this completely on location.
