This painting is currently reserved for a museum exhibition in 2009. This was painted in the studio from a small study I did on location at Lake O'Hara in Canada. John Singer Sargent painted here in 1916, just a short distance from where I stood. The morning light and the atmosphere just took my breath away...the beauty of it all moved me to tears. The whole experience of being there and painting there was very spiritual for me. Painting this in the studio brought all of the emotions I felt back to me as if I were there all over again.
